It’s been a while since I posted anything, mostly because I’ve been focusing on my musical projects. But good news:
Last year, an international school student with a 1540 on the SAT wrote college application essays under my guidance and got into UChicago as an economics major.
And just a few days ago, another student from a traditional Taiwanese school–offering no APs and other important resources–was accepted by Cornell as a physics major. This student began with roughly 400-500 on the SAT English section, but through sheer willpower, studied so hard (and smart) that she reached 710 on the SAT English. Her total SAT score is 1510. While this is still on the low end for Cornell, the essays that I guided her with must have been one of the crucial elements that got her accepted. (It was a damn good essay, but I’m not showing it here to protect student privacy and anonymity.)
Work hard (and smart), folks, and you can get there too. And aim high!
Raymond
