Welcome to Milestone College Consulting!
Milestone’s no-nonsense approach to education forges avenues to academic brilliance fostered by honesty and respect. At the helm is Meng-Ju (Raymond) Chuang, a gritty, fully caffeinated Vanderbilt University summa cum laude graduate with a B.A. in psychology and philosophy (hon’s) and an M.M. in jazz piano from Fu Jen Catholic University. Furthermore, Raymond has more to boast. He has perfect and near-perfect scores on the GRE Verbal, TOEFL, and SAT EBRW, respectively. With thirteen years’ teaching experience, Raymond offers bespoke English test prep, college selection advice, and application strategy sessions designed to cultivate a new and bold legion of independent thinkers and well-rounded scholars. (Feel free to check out Raymond’s curriculum vitae.)
Raymond updates this blog with a wealth of personal experiences. He relies on accurate, concrete statistics gleaned from the Common Data Set. Moreover, he meticulously calculates statistical data from CDS, painstakingly incorporating them into interactive graphs found only on this website.
For more information about Milestone, see our About page. Also, be sure to check out our exclusive content, such as this interactive USNWR Historic Rankings line graph. It depicts the ranking trajectories of more than 120 schools from 1983 to 2024 and can’t be found anywhere else!
Lastly, Raymond is not a robot, so feel free to reach out and get to know him! For example, Raymond plays the theremin, the only instrument played without touch, and is also a classically trained jazz pianist with a master’s degree in jazz performance. Indeed, he is somewhat of a music nerd, collecting instruments ranging from the Vietnamese dan bau to the waterphone (used in horror movie soundtracks) to the musical saw. So, join Raymond as he delves into the fun and complex world of college prep and admissions, and be sure to contact him, leave a comment, or simply chitchat!
